DraftKings PA Introduces 2020 MLB Opening Day Bonuses

MLB AL Central Betting Picks

We are now less than 24 hours from our first major sport returning to the US (Sorry UFC, PGA. Not sorry, MLS). The 2020 Major League Baseball season will be underway Thursday and DraftKings is leading off with a very special promo.

The Opening Weekend Homerun Boost special will run for Thursday and Friday’s opening games. Any 2019 All-Star to hit a Homerun on MLB Opening Days 7/23-7/24 (eligible players listed below) will get you even odds on your wager.

Go to DraftKings Sportsbook and click on the MLB tab. Following Opt-In, you’ll be issued one single-use Odds Boost for ‘Any 2019 All-Star to hit a Homerun on MLB Opening Days.’ The original price was -10000. The boosted price is +100. Be sure to select the boost in your bet slip before placing the bet. There’s a limit of one qualifying bet per user. The Maximum bet is $25 and the boost expires at 7 PM ET on July 23rd. The promo excludes live bets, parlays, free bets, cash out bets, voided bets, and odds boosts. You must be in CO, PA, IN, IA, NJ, or WV to qualify.

AL Central Divisional Pick

The AL Central should be one of the most competitive divisions in baseball for the 2020 season. The Twins are the current favorites to win the division, but the Indians and White Sox are a close second and third on paper. For many baseball bettors, we consider roster strength more than anything when choosing a good futures pick. For the 2020 season, we must also consider the shortened season (60 games) and how a hot start can be insurmountable and a slow start can be damning. For this reason, I like the White Sox at +285. I think the White Sox will benefit from having such a young team with little MLB time. Opposing pitchers haven’t seen much of some of their promising, up and coming batters and opposing batters haven’t seen a lot from their young and talented pitchers.
